Accepted Answer

Kiddieland Educational Center consists of a highly trained and qualified staff. Our teachers hold a minimum of an Associate of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education or an Associate's in Child Development. All of our educators hold a First Aid and CPR Certificate, Child Protection, and Safe Food Handling and Safe Hygiene Practices.

Question 2

What age groups do you cater to at your childcare facility?

Accepted Answer

We serve children from 6 weeks through 5 years old across three programs: Infant & Toddler (6 weeks – 2 years), Preschool (3 – 4 years), and Pre-K (4 – 5 years). Each program is an age-appropriate learning environment designed to meet children where they are.

Question 3

Can you provide information about the curriculum and educational activities offered to children?

Accepted Answer

Our curriculum combines the Creative Curriculum with the Reggio Emilia philosophy of education. Children's learning is built on their own interests through play-based, project-based experiences — from the Atelier studio with clay, paint, and natural materials, to organic gardening in our eco-friendly playground.

Question 4

What safety and security measures are in place to ensure the well-being of the children?

Accepted Answer

Safety is built into every part of our day. Our facility is a state-of-the-art educational center with secure entry, age-appropriate facilities, staff certified in First Aid and CPR, and strict hygiene practices — our environment is cleaned and sanitized only with eco-friendly products.

Question 5

What is the staff-to-child ratio at your daycare center?

Accepted Answer

We follow the licensing standards set by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) for group size and staff-to-child ratios in every classroom, so each child receives the attentive, responsive care the Reggio approach calls for.

Question 6

Are meals and snacks provided for the children, and what is the nutritional value of the meals?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We understand the importance of providing children with healthy choices and good nutrition as the foundation for healthy, happy children. All our hot meals and snacks are freshly prepared daily in our fully equipped kitchen, and special diets are accommodated through our Special Diet Form.

Question 7

What are your operating hours and do you offer extended or flexible care options?

Accepted Answer

Both locations are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We are closed Saturday and Sunday. For questions about scheduling flexibility for your family, please contact us or schedule a tour.

Question 8

How do you handle disciplinary issues or behavior management challenges with the children?

Accepted Answer

Our approach is rooted in unconditional respect for children and their ideas, feelings, and experiences. Teachers observe, listen, and guide children through conflicts as learning opportunities, and our Guidance and Discipline Procedures Form keeps families fully informed of our practices.

Question 9

Are parents allowed to visit and observe the daycare center during operating hours?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Parents are an essential component of our program and a knowledgeable, active part of the children's learning environment. We welcome families to visit, and the best way to experience Kiddieland is through a personal tour.
