The Image of the Child
Children are strong, intelligent, and capable from birth. Teachers are deeply aware of children's potential and construct the curriculum and the environment of the children's experience to respond appropriately.
Our Philosophy
Care and learning go hand in hand.
For us, care and learning go hand in hand. Our goal is for children to be happy and comfortable during their stay each day, and for families to head off to their daily routine with peace of mind. While they are busy during the day, children are busy learning and growing.
We envision a learning environment with excellent people and resources while promoting lifelong learning. Critical thinking, joy, honesty, and character are honored as capabilities of every child.
Kiddieland ECE is inspired by Reggio Emilia Schools, an Italian revolutionary way of teaching. Our philosophy offers the right start for children, focusing on the process of learning so that they develop not only skills but also a love for learning.
Guided by the Reggio Emilia Philosophy
Relationships as the Foundation
Education focuses on each child, not considered separate but in relationship with the family, other children, the teachers, the environment of the school, the community, and wider society.
The Role of Parents
Parents are considered an essential component of the program. They are a knowledgeable and active part of the children's learning environment.
The Environment as the Third Teacher
Our classrooms, Atelier, and eco-friendly playground are designed to invite exploration, conversation, and discovery — the environment itself teaches alongside our educators.
The Hundred Languages of Children
Children express what they know in many ways — through art, movement, words, and play. We honor and document every language children use to make their thinking visible.
